Easy Access to Lamot Congress Center
Address: Van Beethovenstraat 8-10, B – 2800 Mechelen.
The main entrance is located on the square at Haverwerf, see map. Lamot Congress and Heritage Center is easily accessible by car. (Tip: use ‘Waze’ for navigation.) However, we encourage our visitors to use public transport. Under "Public Transport" you can find out how to easily reach Lamot.
By Car to Lamot

By Public Transport to Lamot
In the center of Mechelen, some streets are pedestrianized during certain hours. Therefore, we encourage our guests to come to Lamot by public transport, bicycle, or on foot.
By Bus from the Station
The central station is within walking distance of Lamot, but a shuttle bus also runs between the two locations. The city shuttle departs from platform 9 towards Grote Markt. Get off at the Korenmarkt stop.
On Foot from the Station
Walking from the station (Koning Albertplein) takes about 10 minutes:
Follow Hendrik Consiencestraat to the traffic lights.
- Cross the street and follow Kardinaal Mercierplein (66m).
- Follow Graaf Van Egmontstraat (140m).
- At the end of Graaf Van Egmontstraat, turn right onto the stairs down to the water and follow the Dijlepad to Lamot.
Taxi in Mechelen
At Mechelen station, you will find one or more cabs in the fixed parking spaces near the station exit on Koning Albertplein. You will also find fixed parking spaces for cabs in other places in the city, but they are not always taken. In that case, it is best to call one of Mechelen's cab companies to reserve a cab.
